Lobbying the EU

Transparency directive, raising standards for incessant impact analyses, the enlargement, etc. Lobbying at the European arena is working with a constantly changing scenery.

We do not know much on what is in the heads of the lobbyists and how they will act during the coming scenarios. What are their communication strategies? How do the lobbyists cooperate with euro groups and the national governments? NGO:s and other companies?

berggrencamilla2fotomagnuswahmanwebb.jpgIn March 2006 started a research project at Örebro University on EU-lobbying with primary focus on communication strategies and Swedish actors. Camilla Berggren, former Public Affairs consultant at EPPA, will present a doctor’s thesis in 2010.

The project is supported by a reference group with members from ECPA (European Centre for Public Affairs financed), the Swedish government administration, the Swedish Public Relations Association SPRA, TeliaSonera, Ericsson and Scania. The last three are also financing the project.

For further information please contact Camilla Berggren at camilla.berggren@lobbning.se.
